I am delighted to have chosen the path to become a Registered Massage Therapist (R.M.T.) graduating in 1991 from the widely respected Sutherland-Chan School in Toronto, Canada. This 2200-hour program is the second highest level of training offered in North America. (British Columbia is 3300 hours and California basic certification is 100 hours.) I have been blessed with a sensitivity and strength that I combine with my intuition and 17 years of professional practice to confidently and expertly care for my clients.

I integrate Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy techniques and if requested Hot Stone Massage to relax muscles, increase circulation, reduce pain and promote a deep sense of well being.

I see clients with muscular, joint, neurological, respiratory and circulatory imbalances. I specialize in working with women in all stages of life including pregnancy, providing bodywork, education and support in life transitions. I see men only by referral.

I heat smooth basalt stones in water and hold them in my hands while doing massage strokes and also place them on tight areas. Muscles can’t resist the powerful combination of massage and penetrating heat. "I feel like I'm ironing the kinks out of your birthday suit.” Legends of Native people have been handed down for generations, which share the wisdom of the inherent powerful abilities of stones. People just melt and say it’s the most amazing bodywork they’ve ever felt.

Cold stones also offer great therapeutic value for injuries and contrasting temperatures for those who would benefit from it. Hawai'ian Temple Style Lomi Lomi Massage

This Traditional Massage has a powerfully transformative, trance inducing effect on all who surrender to it. The massage takes place in a warm room on an oiled table with Hawaiian music and scents wafting in the air. The nurturing strokes performed with the hands, forearms and elbows glide from head to toe in rhythmic waves like the ocean.The body is treated 3 dimensionally with some strokes under as well as over and around the torso and limbs. This work can be enhanced with Hot Stones if you desire.

The effect is total submission to a healing energy that feels like it totally surrounds you... reminiscent of when you were being cared for as a baby. This style of massage embodies the Hawaiian spirit of love or Aloha. It is nurturing, deeply replenishing and harmonizes your mind, body and spirit. Different parts of the body are massaged simultaneously and asymmetrically so you are unable to focus on one area and sink out of your brain down into your body.

Hawai’ians believe that physical pain and discomfort are often caused by emotional issues and old patterns held at the cellular level, blocking energy. You can choose the traditional way of being massaged on an oiled table with a top drape which allows me to massage under as well as over your body or if you prefer you can choose to use sheets.

Lomi Lomi is a powerful Rite of Passage for women going through life changes such as birthdays, marriage, menopause etc. You will be “Pam-Purred” for 90 minutes and time is allowed afterwards for a rest period and shower.

Chair Massage

David Palmer “The Father of Chair Massage” developed this brilliant technique in 1986 in San Francisco. He designed a portable chair that enables clients to receive a seated acupressure massage while fully clothed. Many therapists have since created their own style of bodywork integrating as I do elements of Acupressure and Swedish techniques to address the aches and pains we develop in the course of living, working and playing. This kind of massage can be a “purrfect” introduction for people who may be curious but too modest to try a massage in which they have to disrobe. Common complaints like headaches, neck, shoulder and back pain respond quickly to pressure and manipulation customized to each client’s preferences.

I have offered chair massage in San Francisco, Toronto and Cape Breton Island at spas, resorts, work places, street fairs, music festivals, schools and senior homes to the great delight of the recipients! Anyplace is a good place for massage…. and anytime is a good time for massage!
